ABOUT TOKIMEMO
Tokimeki Memorial is a popular Japanese dating simulation game series by Konami. It consists of 8 main games in which the player's goal is to get a love confession from one of many datable characters by the end of the game. The series title is often contracted to Tokimemo.
ABOUT THE SITE
Tokimeki☆Media is a multimedia website dedicated to the Japanese dating simulation game series, Tokimeki Memorial (including Girl's Side, Online, and Only Love) and is maintained by best friends, Akemi and Kiyoko. The site includes information, music, images, and much more. The mission of Tokimeki☆Media is to provide English-speaking audiences with access to Tokimemo multimedia.

SITE HISTORY
The idea for Tokimeki☆Media arose in 2009 (not long after the creation of another one of our websites, Yu Yu Hakusho Devotion). We wanted to create a website dedicated to our favorite dating simulation series, Tokimeki Memorial. However, because we were still in the middle of making two other websites (Project RANDOMNESS and Yu Yu Hakusho Devotion), we didn't have time to start work on Tokimeki☆Media until the summer of 2011.
The name, Tokimeki☆Media, was extremely difficult for us. We couldn't always agree on a name. What sounded good to one of us didn't sound good to the other and vice versa. It literally took weeks for us to agree on a name that was original, easy to remember, and embodied the spirit of the Tokimemo series. In fact, there were times when we would spend hours just writing down possible names and arguing why they should or should not be used. We eventually settled on the name, Toki☆Media. However, not long after we had made our decision, we discovered an online organization with the name TokiMedia, and thus--to prevent any type of mix up--we changed the name to Tokimeki☆Media.
Designing Tokimeki☆Media was even more challenging. We took days trying to get the background just right and we took even longer trying to get the color scheme and text right. Despite our limited knowledge of css and html coding, we eventually got the look we wanted. Of course, because we are still beginners, some things on the website are still not 100% to our satisfaction. However, we are hoping that the more we learn, the more we can improve the overall look of the site.
Content-wise, Tokimeki☆Media is constantly changing. There were times when we put up content (fanart, game release dates, links, etc.) and then later decided to take it down. Most times, we'll remove something from the site for one of five reasons: (1) it is not very popular among our visitors, (2) it is not as relevant as we had originally thought, (3) it is aesthetically unappealing, (4) it has become too overwhelming for us to work on, or (5) it is legally unsound.
Overall, work on Tokimeki☆Media wasn't always easy, but we are proud of what we have done and we hope that you will enjoy all that this site has to offer. :)
